The march of globalization of homosexuality is eyeing Thailand’s laissez-faire socio-economic system as the proper atmosphere for the first Asian homosexual country.

Thailand is the holiday destination for gays who don’t have freedom to practice gay relations in Myanmar, Brunei, Malaysia, and Singapore.

Although gay union is allowed in Thailand, gay marriage, giving homosexual couples joint bank loans, medical insurance, and other civil services, is not recognized legally.

Homosexual rights groups are advocating for legalization drafts in a country where transgender people are not allowed to change their gender in national documentations.

Although homosexuality was decriminalized in 1956 and was removed from the list of illnesses in 2002, the Buddhist majority society of Thailand consider homosexuality as the punishment for previous sins.

Homosexuals are feasting their achievements in 15 countries, general western and developed. Generating the movement to Asia is a next long shot ambition for the campaign. The alarming movements like the mentioned one seems to be confronted with mute audience who may not be able to avoid its poisoning effects in future.
